Breakfast!

mbernardiYesterday I took a different route in to work and spotted an eatery which on it's breakfast menu included a stack of pancakes. This was the first time I'd seen such in the UK so I decided to try them this morning.
I left home 40 minutes early so I had time for a bought breakfast before work. I got to Giraffe just after eight, ordered at once and got a cappuccino which tasted bitter. Maple syrup was delivered first, then a three stack pancake with bananas and blueberries a bit later. They were fairly tasty, but not a patch on those I've had in the US (especially IHOP, but then they have a lot of experience). but they were much better than the ones I made myself on Shrove Tuesday!
Including tip there wasn't much change from a tenner, but when I complained about the coffee I did get a free one to take away (which was actually much less bitter.)
It was very filling though and I haven't had any craving for tea all morning!
