Torchwood - Children of Earth

mbernardiThis started so well, and had so many stand out performances and then....
There was a lot of good stuff, the acting of the main characters and the guest stars was really good. the set were marvelous, and the discussion by TPTB seemed very real, if very disturbing.
But then their were my WTF moments.
When they starting building something designed by the 456 and had no clue what it was. Hadn't anyone seen "A for Andromeda"? This is not a good idea.
Then Frobisher tried to get rid of Torchwood and didn't include UNIT. But their remit is to deal with aliens, that's what they do!
Then Jack manages to get back control and has no plan but to say "go away cos I said so" and then they all get killed and Ianto died and WTF!
Then it started to get a bit better but, getting high on kids, come on....
PC Andy and Rhys are brilliant.
Frobisher kills his family and himself (why didn't he go live on TV exposing everything THEN kill himself?)
And Jack saves the day but kills his grandson doing it. Heartbreaking but at least it had meaning.
And then Jack buggers off, leaving Gwen holding the baby (both her own and Torchwood).
So what happens next year?
Gwen manages to build a new team from Lois Habiba, Alice Carter. Bridget Spears, Johnson and Martha Jones ;-), (though maybe Alice wouldn't want to join!)
