Osteo or rheumatoid? So many exciting flavors are available. ;(

I had rheumatoid in the joints of a few fingers for several years. If they put you on hydroxychloroquine [plaquenil], it slows/stops the spread, but you have to get an eye exam every year [& even for a few years after], as there's a chance it may gunk up your retinas. I was fortunate in that my case was mild, & I was able to go off it after a few years. 4 finger joints still look large, but don't bother me.

In the years since, what's new is one knuckle & one finger joint are permanently swollen. Most of the time they don't bother me, & ibuprofen is able to help when they do. It's such a relief to be able to take it. When I was on celebrex & plaquenil, I couldn't [ibuprofen & celebrex counteract each other, one thinning blood, the other thickening it]. All I could take for pain was acetaminophen, which doesn't work nearly as well for me. Just ask our buddy Miles about idiosyncratic body chemistry.

So, once again, whatcha got?
