Procrastination

I've said I'd update more frequently, and haven't written anything for three weeks!

Two days after my sister visited, she returned to collect me for my niece's birthday.

Prior to this we went shopping for a large screen (so my dad would be able to see it). In the end a new Acer Aspire Z2600 was purchased. This is an all in one PC which has a 24" touch screen with wireless keyboad and mouse, with Windows 7 imstalled.

The following Sunday we went out for a birthday lunch. I was taken home on Monday, as I had to sign on on Tuesday morning.

On Wednesday D and I managed to clear some of the crap from the garden (the only remaing bits are organic).

I finally paid for the cavity wall insulation that was blown in over a month ago. A couple of books arrived from amazon, many fewer than in the past.

It was D's birthday nearly 2 weeks ago, I forgot to get a card in advance (so it was a day late!)

Two signed copies of Cryoburn arrived in the post, one for me and one for list / webmistress Mel H. Posted Mel's copy asap and it arrivex the following day. She now has all the Baen ebook editions on the enclosed CD.

Strictly Come Dancing has restarted, so I've now got about five hours of programming.

On the way home, since it was so sunny I stopped for a walk in Southwater park.

So what finally got me to write? Two things
a) It's 10-10-10 (42 day) and I wanted to post something.
b) My mum gave an emergency call yesterday and I had to go over and troubleshoot. It would have been too much not to post after 2 visits!
