Since Gafilk
So on Monday we treked to Titan books and comics to get their last copy of GURPS Vorkosigan, we did get a discount for long distance travel. On returning home we all went for a walk around Reynolds Park, we then went to the Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner. I had a steak, with baked potato and sweet potato, very nice. Then home to watch TV.
Tuesday we went to the Army surplus where I got a new bag, due to the large number of books I bought, I needed extra luggage. Then to IHOP for brunch, went for an walk in the park, lake was frozen for all my visit. Did some more TV watching and went for dinner at Rockys diner where I had spagetti and meatballs.
Wednesday my last full day. Went for a walk first thing with filkferengi and spouse. Saw a number of birds. Then brunches at the Broadway diner where I had the special, followed by cake! Saw more TV in the afternoon then in the evening went to a gathering of Bujold fans at nlbarber house. Lovely place and we had a lovely Chinese dinner, and wide ranging discussion on food, books, authors, languages and lots of other stuff. We finally left at 23:50!
Finally Thursday packed my bags off for a final walk at Reynolds Park, still cold and lake frozen. Filkferengi slipped and fell and got muddy! Back home to change, then back to IHOP for my last pancake special. Then dropped off at the airport where I couldn't auto check- in as my passport expires in March. Was also told that a second checked bag would cost $50! but that I could take it on board as a second hand bag for free! Through security and to gate E14 by 14:45 and then updated my LJ to date. Plane due to leave 17:30.
Boarding occured at about 17:00 and the plane took off at 17:53.
Dinner served 19:45 chicken with rice then watched Whiteout. Film finished 21:35 / 2:35 GMT lights out. Tried to sleep.
