I've started to get calluses on the fingers of my left hand! I suspect ukulele is more fun with other actual people.
But even after the 6 weeks I've been practicing I've noticed a significant improvement. I can recognise a few chords and switch between them. I can even generate recogniseable tunes!
I don't know if I'll be willing to play at filkcon though!
