Off to Atlanta

mbernardiUp at 5:20 and on the 6:05 train. Got to Gatwick then bus to the North Terminal (monorail out of service). Started queueing at 6:40 took half an hour to get to checkin desk, minor query as my passport expires in less than 90 days.
Straight through main security in 5 minutes, then to gate 50 where there was a second check with full baggage search. The queue for this took one and a half hours! Actually on plane DL11/KL9090 at 9:15. Finally took off at 11:08. Brunch was served 11:45 rice, chicken, peas & carrots, with salad. Fruit salad. Got mine early as on low salt diet. Watched Transformers 2, followed by GI Joe. After finishing the film I snoozed for a bit. At 5:40 a salad roll, with a hard plum was provided. Landed at Atlanta Hartsfield 7:35pm GMT or 2:35pm local time. Debarked 3:05 through passport control with speed, got my bag, through customs, rechecked bag then at 3:35 pm queueing at security through by 3:55pm train to Terminal, collected bag again without waiting. Phoned filkferengi then down escalator for Greyhound Door LN-1 to wait for pickup at 4:30pm Collected at 4:45pm and home just after 5:00pm And got online and posted this.
