Tomorrow I'm off to Grantham for 22nd UK Filkcon tomorrow, so I thouht I'd update before then.
On Tue 19 Terry Pratchett was mostly speaking about the adaption of Nation currently playing at the National Theatre. I got one of the best seats, two rows from the stage in the middle. Terry was Terry and too many asked Diskworld questions, but worth the ticket price, and I did have a chance to view the stage from close up. I did find the assumption that we'd be staying for that night's performance irritating though.
I've been on a bit of an NCIS watching spree of late as various channels are showing different seasons at different times. I have been viewing 2 episodes a night, so other viewing has declined (sky+ storage has gone up).
The week after the theatre I was at the Science Museum, twice. On Tuesday for a +Plus guided tour of the new exhit "1001 Inventions" a look at a millenium of muslim invention. There was a tour of the materials exhibit, by Susan. Then we swapped location and looked at the main event with Yasmeen. Them following day's Late, also followed this theme. I was however suffering from a cold and only stayed an hour and a half. I did see some martial arts and whirling dance.
A slow cooker, ordered from amazon, arrived earlier in the week, but due to museum visits I didn't take it home till Thursday, setup and cleaned I used it to make rice pudding overnight on Saturday. It got a bit stodgy, but was still edible. I'll have to try other recipes.
Last Tuesday was the worst day... I had a bad night with a stuffed but dripping nose! Then I had to get up early as I had the early shift. At least it meant I got to my Chiropractor early, only to realise I'd left my backpack on the train. So went to Brighton lost property to discover my bag had been found and was available for collection from Littlehampton station!
I got a free ticket / pass and traveled there and back got my bag and finally home at 9:30 (I should have got in before 7:00).
While on the train I'd finished my book so listened to some pocasts I'd downloaded. Dave Goreman, and Will Wheaton were the main voices and the Carpool videocast.
Up to date more or less, next posting at filkcon (or when I get back if there is no wifi).
