Last Saturday I was up early and did my shopping in the morning, so when my mum, sister, and niece arrived at 1:30 we then spent 2 hours clearing the loft. We managed to shift about 80% of the remaining stuff down. A large percentage of the stuff was sent to the dump, a lot of the rest went to charity shops. the rest is stacked in the back bedroom.
On Sunday my sister returned, with my brother-in-law in the afternoon and in half an hour we finished off emptying the loft.
On Monday all the floorboards were pulled up, and the old loft insulation was made accessible. Once the new replacement insulation has been installed I'll have to buy more flooring and pay someone to fit it. I'll also need to replace the ladder.
On Wednesday it was Science Museum Lates night. I managed to get to 3 presentation, Music and Maths: How to be Temperamental, Music and the Mind, and finally Project Eardrum a science and music comedy show. It had a lot of audience and I got pulled up for the last part. When we had to use a straw as a wind instrument, with it pitch going up as bits were cut off. I also made a kazoo out of a clothes peg and 2 rubber bands, in a workshop run all night. I left at 9:40 and caught the 10:02 from Victoria.
Morphy Richards were very fast in replacing my broken slow cooker. A replacement arrived on Wednesday, I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
Yesterday I managed to break my right thumbnail right off, It's still a bit bloody...
