Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series

I have just finished re-reading this series, & one major part of her life appears to be missing. Despite being a fervant Christian (ex RC) the only time we see her in church is at Tammy & Larry's wedding. (or Malcolm's vampire church, which doesn't count).

Is it fervent as much as inbred and highly significant? She knows she's in trouble with traditional viewpoints (and she's not one to submit to them despite their obvious influence on her point of view), but she is also in a business where the truth of some of the tradition is very important to her survival. Can't see her looking to a local pastor for guidance.

Although perhaps prayer every now and then might be helpful - good point!
