Week before Eastercon

I've been catching up on "wonders of the solar system" via BBC iplayer. I've also discovered that Mint Linux has improved screen handling such that when I plug my TV into my laptop viedo out plug I can get side by side screens even though they use different resolutions. Last time I tried I could only get mirroring to work.

I've been watching a lot of NCIS of late (12 hours a week!), I note that the are very tough on recurring female characters. Both Kate and Jenny died by gunfire, but no male charater from the credits has died (that I can recall).

I have finally stopped my doorstep milk delivery. Two main reasons, the milkman was now delivering milk after I left for work, so as the days warm up it would start to go off. Additionally I can get 4 pints at Iceland for less than the delivered price of 2 pints at my door.

I wrote the above while travelling to heathrow and arrived before 10. Got my membership, but room not ready so had to check my luggage.

I like NCIS. When I started watching it, it felt like many of their episodes end in a happier note than many of the other crime dramas. I've also grown to really like many of the recurring characters.

Michelle also died in gunfire. Of the male regulars, Langer was murdered [by Michelle], & Gerald was shot & presumably transferred. Men tend to fare better on the show, but it's not as flagrantly sexist as other shows.
