A couple of weeks ago
filkferengi and
stoutfellow reminded me that I needed to confirm that I was going to Nasfic (the North American SF Con when the Worldcon ISN'T in North America) and arrange flights etc.
First I converted my supporting membership to attending, then I went flight hunting. I found a few that looked reasonable but had to wait to book the dates off from work.
By the time I'd got confirmation I could take the time off, a day later, the flight price had gone up by a hundred pounds!!!! That should teach me to book early rather than late (but it probably won't.)
As
stoutfellow is a local and providing crash space I'll be saving some money there (which I could add to the flight!)
This will be the first time I've gone to a Nasfic, as usually when they are being held, the Worldcon is nearer (ie Europe) but since this year is in Japan....
Less than a month to go.
