About an hour ago I got an unexpected visit from my sister and niece wondering if I was OK! My phone has been having intermittent ringing issues and they hadn't been able to get hold of me! I will have to post more frequently just to make sure everyone knows I'm OK.

So in the last few weeks I've seen "The Sorcerers Apprentice" at the cinema, I've been re-reading a number of series, starting with Anita Blake, as a result I've been reading ebooks on my iPod. I've also been listening to podcasts also on my iPod.

I regraded my ISP which reduced my monthly outlay but caused my website at www.dendarii.co.uk to disappear, as I have now only got 100MB of space, luckily I had just mirrored everything to www.iiradned.co.uk and I have now got my site back and my disk space to less than 100MB.

On the last Wednesday of last month I had to attend a Back to Work seminar, which suggested options, most of which I have been doing already. Then got a very cheap day return to London so I could got the the Science Museum and the Space Lates. I even built an explorer robot!

My eyes were due for their bi-annual checkup, they have actually got slightly better. I didn't need new glasses but since I'm on jobseekers allowance I could get long distance lenses for free, so I got a spare set.

For the last week or so I've been having problems with my phone / adsl internet. Currently the speed is so low that video streaming is impossible, though text browsing and email still get through. We've been unable to find out why so I've had to order a 3G dongle for emergencies.

Last week my electric kettle cracked so I bought a new stainless steel one from Argus, at only £9.99 it appears to be excellent value.

This weekend is my niece's birthday so I'll be seeing her and the rest of the family then.
